Musical medicine: SFU research highlights health benfits of hearing music for older adults

Dr. Sarah Faber, a postdoctoral fellow researcher with the Department of Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology and SFU's Institute for Neuroscience and Neurotechnology published with team in Network Neurosicence discovered that listening to music activates brain regions linked to reward in older adults, regardless of their familarity with the music.
