Health System Focused Opportunity

NOW OPEN - Apply by June 30, 2025 (rolling basis)

This opportunity is open to BC-based students in master’s and PhD programs, postdoctoral fellows and BC-based health organizations and municipalities focused on improving health. It allows for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to gain experience with BC’s health system and apply their research knowledge and expertise to address pressing health and health system focused challenges.

Currently accepting stage 1 applications through Health Research BC’s ApplyNet, open on a rolling basis until June 30th, 2025. Internships can start anytime between now and September 1st, 2025.

Industry-based opportunity

Health Research BC and Mitacs are partnering through the Mitacs Accelerate and Mitacs Elevate programs to support graduate students and postdoctoral fellows across British Columbia gain experience working with BC’s life sciences sector.

Together with Mitacs, Health Research BC is working to reduce a gap identified in BC’s life sciences and biomanufacturing strategy to find the right people with the right skills needed to support a healthy future for British Columbians.

Currently accepting stage 1 applications through Health Research BC’s ApplyNet, open on a rolling basis until December 1, 2024. Internships can start anytime between now and March 1, 2025.
