MCE Result without OWA (Ordered Weighted Averging)

This output shows the suitability of the constraints based on the five factors. Since I didn't use OWA, the output is a result of maximal tradeoff. The tradeoffs between factors allow for compensation of one for another and therefore introduce some risk to the analysis. I didn't use OWA because I don't know if for certain (to some degree) high density areas or moderate income areas have the most interest in community farming: a more indepth pre-analysis will have to be done to determine if there is any truth in that. Therefore there is no sense in restraining to zero risk as there is no certainty in my choices.

Suggested Areas Analysis

Click to enlargeThe hotpink areas are most suitable for new community gardens on Park, Institutional and Open and Undeveloped spaces in Vancouver. I've displayed them with the road network and farmer's markets to give a sense of the location. These areas are the top 25% of the suitablity output above: the quater of the constrained areas that is most suitable.

On the Side...

Here is the suitability index with minimal risk without Trade off. The results are very constricted because there is no trade-off between the variables. The areas with high suitability scored overall the best in the all the factors.

A high number respectively represents a high suitability.
