    My name is Vitally Ufimtseff. I am currently an undergraduate student at Simon Fraser University (SFU). My major is Geography and I am also completing courses towards the Spatial Information Systems (SIS) Certificate. I will have completed my degree in April 2004 and will be eligible to graduate then. However, my main interest is to be an elementary school teacher. I am currently on the wait-list for the Professional Development Program (PDP) at SFU. If I get accepted, all of 2004 will be taken up by the PDP program requiring me to complete my Geography degree in the spring of 2005. If I do not get accepted into PDP for January 2004, I will complete my degree in the spring of 2004 and plan to find work in GIS throughout the summer until I reapply for the September 2004 enrolment for PDP.
    I have been married since July 2000 to Laura and we currently live in Burnaby, BC. My ethnic background is Russian although I was born in Australia, but have lived in Canada most of my life. I can still speak, read and write in Russian.
