Brenda Morrison

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, DIRECTOR OF THE CENTRE FOR RESTORATIVE JUSTICE

Brenda is the Director of the Centre for Restorative Justice and an Associate Professor in the School of Criminology. She is a social psychologist with field experience in outdoor education, government administration and justice.  She is passionate about teaching, learning, engaging and researching process that enact our rights, responsibilities and opportunities for reconciliation.  Internationally, she has presented papers at the House of Lords and UNESCO. Nationally, she is a research partner with PREVNet (Promoting Relationships Eliminating Violence Network) and serves on the Board of Smart Justice Canada. She has served on justice reform committees federally and provincially, and is a fellow of the Peter Lougheed Leadership College at the University of Alberta. In her home community, she is an active board member for the North Shore Restorative Justice Society. She finds her strength with her family, in the mountains, and in those small quiet places close to home.
