Instagram Giveaway!

September is filled with so much buzz as we step forward into the Fall semester!

This year, we’re hosting a giveaway to celebrate the wonderful SFU student community without whom our programs would not be such a great success! All SFU students following us on Instagram are eligible to enter and have a chance at winning our Back-to-School prize pack. Filled with amazing prizes that will certainly be helpful towards the new semester.

Giveaway Rules and Regulations

OVERVIEW

The SFU Surrey – TD Community Engagement Centre is hosting an Instagram giveaway from September 5^th, 2023 to September 19^th, 2023. One lucky winner will receive an Back-to-School prize pack, complete with the most essential items to get you through the year as a student!

To enter the giveaway:

1. Follow @sfu_surrey_tdcec on Instagram;
2. Like and save the giveaway post;
3. Tag your friends! 

One tag equals one entry.

This promotion is not sponsored, administered, or associated with Instagram, Inc. Please note there may be fake accounts that will attempt to get your information and payment in exchange for the prize.

SFU Survival Pack. One winner will be selected on September 22^nd, 2023. 

ELIGIBILITY

The giveaway is open to all SFU students. Individuals must be current students of SFU. Unlimited entries are permitted.

WINNER NOTIFICATION

The winners of the prize will be notified through Instagram direct message on September 22^nd, 2023. The winners have until 11:59 p.m. PST on September 24^th, 2023 to accept their prize. If the winners do not reply to this notification by the above specified deadline, other winners will be selected.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. The promoter is the SFU Surrey – TD Community Engagement Centre whose registered office is located at SFU’s Surrey Campus, 250-13450 102 Avenue, Surrey BC, V3T 0A3.
2. The giveaway is open to all SFU students. Winners will be required to provide proof of student status. This can include: SFU ID, student number, or computing ID.
3. The giveaway is being held on the SFU Surrey – TD Community Engagement Centre Instagram page (@sfu_surrey_tdcec).
4. The rules of the giveaway and how to enter are as follows: 1) Follow @sfu_surrey_tdcec, 2) Like and save the giveaway post, 3) tag friends in the comments section. One tag is the equivalent of one entry.
5. Unlimited entries are permitted.
6. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter the giveaway.
7. By entering the giveaway, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
8. The giveaway will open at 3 p.m. PST on September 5^th, 2023.
9. Closing date for entries will be at 11:59 p.m. PST on September 19^th, 2023. After this date, no further entries to the giveaway will be permitted.
10. The promoter is not responsible for entries not received regardless of the cause for non-receipt.
11. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the giveaway and these terms and conditions without notice in a force majeure event. Entrants will be notified of any changes to the giveaway as soon as possible by the promoter.
12. The promoter is not responsible for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s equipment (computer, mobile telephone or other device) used by you to enter into the giveaway or obtain any materials related to the giveaway.
13. Winners will be chosen by way of an automated system draw from all entries received and verified by the promoter.
14. Winners will be notified by Instagram direct message on September 22^nd, 2023. If the winners do not respond to confirm acceptance by 11:59 p.m. PST on September 24^th, 2023, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and pick replacement winners.
15. The promoter will notify the winners of when and how their prize can be collected.
16. The winners of the giveaway will receive a prize. The prize is valued at $150. Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. No cash or other prize substitutions shall be permitted.
17. The prize is non-transferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, provincial, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the winners. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by the winners is permitted.
18. Winners agree to supply the promoter with additional information that the promoter may reasonably require in order to process and facilitate the acceptance and/or use of the prizes and/or as required by law.
19. The promoter is not responsible, and disclaims all liability, for any loss, harm, liability, injury, expense or damage of any nature, whether arising from negligence or any other cause, which is suffered by entrants’ participation in the giveaway or the acceptance and/or use by entrants, of the prize.
