QUICK TIPS
- Arrive on time and go to the AQ 3000 Northeast corner (near Renaissance Coffee Shop) between:
- 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. for a morning ceremony
- 12:45 - 1:45 p.m. for an afternoon ceremony.
- Check the forecast and dress for the weather!
- Bring your SFU student I.D. or a government issued I.D. (driver’s license, passport); you'll need it to get your parchment!
- Make sure your guests are prepared. Remind your guests that seating is outdoors. Guests should go find their seats early as seating is first-come, first-served.
- Before you send your guests to Convocation Mall and line up for your procession, give them your purse/bag, flowers, balloons, and other large items to hold onto during the ceremony.
Seriously, arriving on time, or even early, will give you enough time to go through the process of picking up your parchment, getting your gown, getting your family/friends seated and then lining up to convocate without feeling rushed!
