Accessible Transit
TransLink Services
All three SFU campuses are serviced by TransLink buses, as well as SkyTrain service to Harbour Centre and Surrey. Bus and SkyTrain services, SeaBus passenger ferries, West Coast Express commuter rail and Community Shuttle minibuses are all fully accessible. Most other buses have either low-floor access or are lift-equipped. By telephone, for route and schedule information, call (604) 953-3333. On the web see the TransLink webpage for complete service and accessibility information for individuals with a disability.
TransLink’s HandyDART Service
TransLink also offers HandyDART, TransLink's shared-ride, custom transit system operated by private agencies throughout the Lower Mainland. Lift-equipped vans provide door-to-door transportation for passengers in wheelchairs and others with disabilities that restrict mobility or who are otherwise unable to use public transit without assistance.
Passengers may telephone their local HandyDART operator to request a trip. HandyDART passengers are picked up at the outside door of their residence and dropped off at the outside door of their destination. For more information, including who is eligible and how to register, visit the HandyDART section of the TransLink website.
