Volunteers

There are several ways to volunteer at the Centre for Accessible Learning. Because we serve a variety of students with different disabilities, volunteer work can include things like helping a student do research, obtaining books from the library, reading or scribing for exams, scanning documents and, helping with organization. As with paid positions, confidentiality is of utmost importance. The name of the client for whom the volunteer is providing the service and all information pertaining to that student’s disability must be held in strict confidence. The volunteer must ensure that students’ information is kept strictly confidential, including their name and the nature of the disability.

Please come in to the CAL and ask about the volunteer opportunities available!
