The Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies Bachelor of Arts degree program gives you a detailed understanding of gender, sexuality, and women in societies and cultures. Students will build a solid foundation in the study of gender and sex from a variety of scholarly fields.
Lower Division Requirements
Students complete 18 lower division GSWS units including two of
- GSWS 100: Sex Talk: Introduction to Contemporary Issues in Sexuality Studies
- GSWS 101: Gender Talk
- GSWS 102: Feminist Action
Upper Division Requirements
Students complete 32 upper division GSWS units, including four units at the 400 division. Courses which have high GSWS content may be considered for credit towards this plan. With the approval of the Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies, students may use as substitution credit up to two upper division courses offered by other departments.
