The general consensus was that we loved this book. Everyone was surprised at the layered nature of the book in the way that it explores the main characters varying forms of relationships. The book delves into platonic friendships, familial relationships, childhood crushes and high school loves. It discusses queerness in a subtle yet effective way. We enjoyed the fact that this was a page turner and the author did a spectacular job at describing in detail, without boring us, but rather creating a sense of resonance and inviting us into Razia's most mundane and most groundbreaking life experiences.
