This document describes the current state of economic reconciliation and how we might envision a future economy centred on well-being and rooted in Indigenous values and knowledge.
From Sea to Sky: A VISION FOR HOLISTIC INDIGENOUS KNOWLEDGE PROGRAMMING FOR THE FACULTY OF ENVIRONMENT
SFU's Faculty of Environment believes expanding learning experiences that include Indigenous knowledges, and diverse place-based knowledges of Land and Water, should be a central part of undergraduate education.
Deep learning of Indigenous histories and knowledge systems will contribute to not only reconciliation, but unsettling white privilege and supporting our staff, faculty and students to be better collaborators and allies while enriching our lives.
The Sea to Sky initiative outlines a vision and plan of action for the Faculty of Environment to integrate more instances of land-based learning and Indigenous knowledge into our undergraduate curriculum.
