Suggested First Term Schedule for High School Entrants - Fall 2024
The number of courses you take in your first term is up to you. We normally suggest you start with 4 courses rather than the maximum 5 as this will help with your transition to university level study. You can always reach out to the Sociology and Anthropology (SA) advisor (saadvise@sfu.ca) if you need help deciding.
The courses suggested below are for students entering SFU directly from high school who are intending to major in Sociology. If you are transferring from a university or college we recommend that you connect with the Sociology and Anthropology (SA) advisor at saadvise@sfu.ca prior to enrolment to discuss your course selection.

The following courses will fulfill program requirements for your intended major. We recommend you take both of these courses in your first term.
