Bike Shed Tasks

Scenario.

Imagine that you have been employed on a short-term contract by Max Pritchard's office. The Richards family have asked the office to design a bicycle shed to be located near the road in the garden of their house at Aldgate.

The shed is to house 4 bicycles and a wheelbarrow, and is to accommodate a workbench with natural light. A window and a door are available; they were constructed and supplied with the joinery of the house. The shed does not require internal cladding, or gutters to the roof.

The clients had intended to build an 'ordinary' shed. However having poured a reinforced concrete raft slab, dimensions 2000x3000, they became worried as to how well the shed would relate to the house, and turned to their architect.

Your task is to design a bicycle shed to satisfy their brief, using the elements and the materials provided by this game, and in accordance with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and 'called-up' codes.

Here is a QTVR model of the Roof of the Richard's House.

Try to pick up some of the design elements when you design the roof for the garden shed.
