Biography
Dr. Farris-Trimble's research interests include the role of phonological knowledge in word recognition, first-and second-language acquisition, and theoretical phonology. She also has expertise in phonological disorders and phonological processing in clinical populations. Dr. Farris-Trimble takes an experimental approach to solving phonological questions and primarily uses eye-tracking in the visual world paradigm as a real-time measure of speech processing and word recognition. She directs the Phonological Processing Lab.
