Zeinab (Zenita) Naderpour

Zeinab (Zenita) Naderpour holds a bachelor's degree in Japanese Language and Literature from the University of Tehran and a master's degree in Applied Linguistics from Ochanomizu University, Japan. She is currently pursuing her PhD at SFU Linguistics, where her research focuses on Sociolinguistics, with a particular interest in World Englishes. Zenita has served as both a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant within the department. With seven years of experience tutoring international students in Japan, she is passionate about helping students refine their communication skills and build confidence as academic writers.  

Vanja Vekic Chen

Vanja holds a bachelor's degree in English language and literature from the University of Banja Luka and is currently a master’s student and teaching assistant at SFU Linguistics. Her project looks into the characteristics of gonzo journalism and their adaptation to film. Vanja is passionate about creative writing, film, and communicating research creatively. Her goal is to help students find their voice through writing and help them become more confident as both academic writers and active pursuers of knowledge.
