Duane Woods

Audio Video Design Specialist

Biography

I have a varied history of working in video at SFU, starting in 2010, where I worked in two stints for the previous Teaching and Learning Centre (now CEE) and for Creative Services (now Communications and Marketing).

In my role within the LTT Division, I help faculty members co-produce educational media material such as greenscreen videos, Lightboard videos, motion graphics, podcasts and other custom-made videos. I also support faculty in developing their own skills in creating media for their courses through workshops and consultations. Lastly, I work on CEE’s internal events and projects, from photography to filming internal promos, testimonials, interviews and event coverage.

I grew up in Manitoba and I have an BA in Psychology from the University of Manitoba and a diploma in Creative Communications from Red River College in Winnipeg.

Activities

Outside SFU, I am a hockey fan, a hiker, an Ultimate player, a film buff, a role-playing gamer and an aspiring writer and filmmaker.
