Description

"Made with Blood Sweat and Tears" is a Design Noir project that brings awareness to child labour and it's relevance to the products we use today.

Cooking is a daily activity in which people prepare a meal for sustenances, enjoyment, and spending time with loved ones. Made in Blood, Sweat, and Tears is a set of kitchen utensils that have handles made from children's doll body parts. The utensil and doll hand is seamlessly attached and painted to look like a professionally made object. The juxtaposition between utilitarian functionality (kitchen utensil) and macabre (doll hand) highlights our ignorance of child abuse and labor in third world countries while we enjoy our status and privileged lives.
