About Me

image
Thanks for visiting my Website Portfolio

I’m a self-proclaimed nerd-jock who is obsessed with games in all forms. My main hobby is playing games, from physical board games to physical sports and all electronic variations in between. I studied design in order to improve my skills so that I can make my own games whether it be working with a large company or an intimate indie company.

Though I consider myself an Interactive Designer I have made sure during my education to train in multiple disciplines in order to understand and support coworkers in a variety of fields. This has helped me excel in the conceptual side of projects yet allowed me to be an invaluable member of any team by participating or leading work in Animation, Graphics, Programming and Presentation.

Education

May 2016 - B.A. from SFU, in SIAT, with Dual Concentration in Media Arts and Design

As a recent grad from the SIAT program I've spent the last six years in a multidisciplinary field working on a variety of projects in an array of design fields. This work included Print Design, Graphic Design, Website Design, Product Design, Video Design, UI Design, UX Design, Application Design and Game Design. By working individually or in small groups I was able to learn the specific Design field and the roles that go into supporting these fields. This allowed me to become a Designer who can fit into any role and adapt to a company's needs.

Why Choose Me

A Perfect Fit

Like a Master Key to locks, I am with social spaces. I can fit any team dynamic, yet retain my identity, serving to enhance the working environment and outcome.

Passionate

Design is my life, it’s not just something I do to pay the bills. I’m constantly designing, or evaluating design. My hobbies include designing games, playing games, cooking up a storm, and figuring out fun new experiences for my friends and family.

Dedicated & Loyal

As an employee I'm not afraid to put in the extra hours required to ensure a project is completed on time and on budget, maintaining the quality commitment required by management and client. This extra time includes helping with special events or getting together to bond with co-workers to create a stronger work environment. I would rather look for advancement within a good company then search out for another.

Quick & Continuous Learner

As an Interactive Designer, my strong suit is constantly adapting to technological change. Whether this means learning a new language, program or process, I do my best to continue my education so that I may use technology to it’s full potential. I pride myself in striving to understand how to use technology to creatively solve problems, educate or just to have fun!
