Please join us for the next SFU Vancouver Lunch ‘n’ Learn as we welcome SFU Health Sciences Professor, Dr. Kelley Lee, who will outline the factors involved in border crossing and health risks. Dr. Lee is a global expert on this crucial topic. In this presentation, she will discuss Canada’s border management policies during COVID-19 and why shortcomings must be addressed before the gradual lifting of restrictions. She will explain why Canada must move towards a risk-based approach, underpinned by transparent data collection, sharing and analyses. She will discuss how this approach not only better protects public health, by identifying more incoming infections and preventing them reaching wider Canadian society, but will also restore public confidence in travel in the post pandemic. Professor Lee’s presentation will be followed by a Q & A.
