Studying in Canada

I have to defer my admission and I have received a PAL from SFU.  Do I need to get a new PAL for my study permit application?

No, you don’t need a new PAL if your current one remains valid when your admission deferral is processed and approved by SFU.

While your outside Canada study permit application is already in process, you must inform IRCC via its webform that you have deferred your admission and upload a copy of your new Offer of Admission Letter/Letter of Acceptance from SFU.

For more information about admission deferral, please review our FAQ here
