Can Data from a Voluntary Based Survey Yield Informative Inference?
Motivated by a few famous controversies due to public sampling survey, this project will investigate procedures for analyzing survey data. We aim to caution that it can make misleading inference to analyze data of sampling surveys, especially the ones on a voluntary basis, by the conventional procedures. The first project stage is to explore via different approaches an Ontario survey on public attitudes towards public health measures and Covid-19 vaccinations conducted during 12/2020 to 06/2021. The second stage is to conduct relevant simulation studies to examine the approaches in the settings of the real survey data.
