MSc

PRIOR TO YOUR DEFENCE DATE:

• Review the above procedures.
  
• Set up a practice defence to make sure all physical devices and/or remote connections are working correctly.
• Remember to apply to graduate early in the semester in which you are defending, as it involves less work than if you miss the deadline and have to apply late. If for any reason your defence is delayed it is easy to cancel your application to graduate, even after the deadline.
• Remember to enroll for your capstone course in your final semester, these are either Stat 898 (MSc) or Stat 899 (PhD).

THESIS DEFENCE

• Students should consult the library thesis assistance resources early on in their thesis writing process. Students should also be aware of the Graduate General Regulations concerning examination (defence) policy and procedures.
