ABSTRACT:  The Politics of International Trade  
 
International trade has become a much more prominent issue recently because of instability confronting trade agreements at the global, regional, and trans-regional levels. These trade agreements were developed over a number of years, and some background is necessary to understand the current conflicts related to trade. This talk will provide some background and discuss some of the major issues related to the World Trade Organization (WTO), the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the European Union (EU), and Brexit.
