HOW DO I JOIN THE SFU RETIREES ASSOCIATION?
Membership in the Association is open to all retirees of Simon Fraser University.
A retiree is any person retired from employment at SFU as shown by the records of the Human Resources Office, or equivalent office from time to time. The surviving spouse of a deceased retiree is eligible to become a member.
You can request more information via our contact page.

WHAT DOES THE RETIREES ASSOCIATION OFFER?
The main purpose of our Association is to maintain and encourage connections between retired employees and the University, and to provide opportunities for social interaction among members.
We have a very great variety of activities — pretty much something for everyone. We organize a seminar series in the Halpern Centre, an array of outings and trips around the Lower Mainland, a Financial Planning series, a Fall dinner, an afternoon reception in March, and a dinner in May combined with the Annual General Meeting. To get a full understanding of what we do, you may like to visit our Events Calendar and Archived Events. These events are open to members and their partners/spouses. Three times a year we produce a comprehensive Newsletter for our members.
You may know that as a retiree of SFU you are eligible for free gym membership, access to the Library, and an SFU email address for life. As a member of SFURA you may also park for free on an occasional basis in the Visitors' Parkade, and will be part of the retirees-forum@sfu.caemail list. If you wish to have copies of SFU News mailed to you, you may send a note requesting this along with your full mailing address (including postal code) to SFU Media and Public Relations.
