Tour of TRIUMF at UBC on April 15

As of now there are 33 attending the tour and we have appropriate guides available.  

We plan to meet in the TRIUMF auditorium no later than 10 am. There would be two brief presentations on "What is TRIUMF", and "Medical Isotopes from TRIUMF". This will be followed by the tour of the site. The tour should take about 1.5 hours at most. At this point I cannot say much about lunch but there is the UBC Golf Club, there is a small cafe in the administration building at TRIUMF, and a number of good eating locations not only near to TRIUMF but also on campus and just off campus. 

PARKING

There is a parking lot next to TRIUMF. It will cost $1/h ($6.50 full day) for parking (NOTE new rule). 

DRIVING to UBC

The address for TRIUMF is 4004 Wesbrook Mall, so driving west on 16th one takes a left turn at Wesbrook Mall (large circular intersection) and continues for about 1/2 km. One takes a left turn at the TRIUMF sign and a second quick left turn goes to the parking lot. The map below shows the parking lot. By the way BC Transit buses also stop just in front of TRIUMF.

NOTE:

All visitors should proceed to the reception area as indicated by the arrow on the attached map. There should be someone there to further direct, but the auditorium is on the second floor. It usually takes approximaley 60 minutes to drive to TRIUMF from SFU.  Pleas ensure you arrive of the order of 10 minutes before 10 am.
