Pilgrimage Hike in England
Two Pilgrimages, Summer 1999 - Spain and England
Please Note: From time to time, the SFU Retirees Association will post on its web pages announcements of events and projects undertaken by others which may be of especial interest to our members. These pilgrimages are two such events.
"I and a colleague, Derek Youngs, will be leading a pilgrimage hike from Astorga in Spain to Santiago de Compostela, also in Spain. This will start on May 3 this year and will end on May 13.
"Then, in the summer, from August 3 to August 11, I shall (in conjunction with Don Grayston of SFU) be leading another walking pilgrimage from London to Canterbury.
"These pilgrimages have been greatly enjoyed in the past (I've led the Santiago walk twice; the Canterbury one, three times) and may appeal to those retirees who are still moderately active. The walking is not strenuous, and the entertainment en route is worth the odd muscle ache.
