What is SFU Knowledge Mobilization?
SFU Knowledge Mobilization is a university-wide strategic initiative. SFU is committed to becoming a world leader in knowledge mobilization, building on a strong foundation of fundamental and applied research. From discovery to knowledge mobilization, SFU’s eight faculties are engaged in the full spectrum of research, building on a robust tradition of interdisciplinary investigation and collaboration. SFU’s commitment to engagement informs how we disseminate knowledge, and how we contribute to citizenship in local communities across Canada and around the world.

Publish an article through The Conversation Canada
SFU has joined 20 other Canadian universities as a partner of The Conversation Canada, a website that is a trusted media source. Academics and researchers who publish their own journalistic-style articles through The Conversation Canada get access to a robust analytics dashboard that provides data they can't get from traditional academic publications.
Attend a workshop
The SFU KM Hub offers a variety of programming including: MobilizeU at SFU, Research meets policy at SFU and the Implementation Science Institute. The SFU Library and SFU Communications and Marketing offers workshops on scholarly communication and media engagement.

Join the SFU-UBC Implementation Science Institute
This implementation science institute, launched collaboratively by The UBC Knowledge Exchange and SFU Knowledge Mobilization, is a two-year training program for early to mid-career health researchers (from a wide range of health-related topics and disciplines such as psychology, urban planning, gerontology, biomedical engineering, public health, education, etc.) who are interested in or embarking on projects that encompass the science of implementation.
Expand your skills and network through Research Impact Canada
SFU is a member of Research Impact Canada (RIC). RIC is a pan-Canadian network of universities committed to maximizing the impact of academic research for the public good in local and global communities. Through SFU’s membership in this knowledge mobilization network, the university research community can access knowledge mobilization tools, capacity building activities and collaboration opportunities.
