With a flexible undergraduate program featuring nine areas of concentration, this faculty’s students can follow their passions while learning to become big-picture thinkers. Consistently ranked among the world’s Top 100 business schools for research output, the Beedie School of Business produces broadly educated, enterprising and socially responsible business leaders.
Faculty of Applied Sciences
Home to the Schools of Computing Science, Engineering Science, Mechatronic Systems Engineering and Sustainable Energy Engineering, the Faculty of Applied Sciences’ unique programs, hands-on practical training and immersive learning opportunities put our students on the path to becoming global leaders in technology.
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
From languages to literature, from brain waves to big data and bigger ideas, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences’ 114 degree programs prepare students to understand the world and create the jobs of tomorrow. It is our largest faculty, attracting 30 per cent of all students.
Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology
This interdisciplinary faculty nurtures our students’ curiosity and creativity as they explore programs that meet at the intersection of media, art, culture and technology. We’re educating the next generation of thinkers, makers and doers through interdisciplinary and experiential teaching in the Schools of Communication; Interactive Art and Technology; and the Contemporary Arts.

From international education to social justice in education and diversity in learning, this faculty’s intimate and responsive degree programs, minors and courses teach our students to think critically and build confidence for achieving success in their careers.

In the only Faculty of Environment in Western Canada, our students experience world-class teaching, research and outreach, exploring the complex relationships between humans and their built and natural environments from the past to the present. They also learn how to make positive impacts on local and international sustainability issues.

The Faculty of Health Sciences prepares students to become agents of positive social change, leaders in community engagement and trailblazers in health promotion and innovation. The faculty’s mission is to improve the health of individuals and populations while reducing health inequities through excellence in research and education.

This faculty’s diverse programs, which include biomedical physiology and kinesiology, statistics and actuarial science, and earth sciences, let students combine their interests and expand their opportunities. The courses, co-ops and internships not only help students secure a job in the real world, but secure a job that makes a real difference in the world.

We believe professional experience enriches our students’ education and prepares them for the future. Our co-op education program—one of Canada’s largest – allows our students to build hands-on experience throughout their educational journey.
We also offer a broad selection of local and international field schools and exchanges, undergraduate student research awards, volunteer stewardship activities, and leadership training.
