Award-winning biology professor Mark Winston launched a pioneering program to train today's brightest undergraduates to become tomorrow's most engaged and proficient leaders.The first of its kind in Canada, the semester in dialogue was inspired by SFU's Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue, designed to stimulate public debate through interdisciplinary programs and conferences.

Dr. Winston predicts the program will inspire a sense of civic responsibility in students, and build the university community by increasing interdisciplinary research opportunities. Many of SFU's best faculty will teach in the program, along with some of B.C.'s most prominent community leaders.
