Equity and GBA+ Training
In collaboration with the YWCA City Shift team, we have been engaging the City of Surrey and City of Burnaby staff through dialogues and workshops focused on equity and GBA+ (Gender-Based Analysis Plus).
For the City of Surrey, our combined efforts have been helping staff to embed equity in their processes.
The City of Burnaby is piloting the use of GBA+ in the revitalization of the Edmonds Town Centre Community Plan. GBA+ principles will steer every phase of the plan’s update, and Burnaby’s City Council will be regularly informed on the progress. To support this work, we facilitated an introductory workshop for City of Burnaby staff on GBA+.
We hosted a collaborative workshop for the City of Delta, bringing together staff from various departments, including Human Resources, Social Planning, Procurement, and Engineering.
