  1. Academic Integrity Subcommittee

    Purpose: Focus on developing and overseeing policies and guidelines related to maintaining academic integrity in the use of AI.

    Key Tasks:
    1. Develop guidelines and policies that address academic integrity issues related to AI, such as plagiarism, cheating, and misuse of AI tools.
    2. Work with faculties and academic units to implement and monitor these policies.
    3. Provide guidance on transparency and academic honesty in AI usage for both students and instructors.

  3. Pedagogy and Teaching Innovation Subcommittee

    Purpose: Focus on the integration of AI into teaching practices and the exploration of innovative pedagogical approaches.

    Key Tasks:
    1. Explore and pilot AI-driven innovations in pedagogy, such as personalized learning paths and AI tutors.
    2. Provide guidelines and resources for other instructors on how to effectively incorporate AI into their teaching.
    3. Ensure that AI tools are inclusive and accessible to all students.

    Purpose: Develop and oversee governance structures and ethical guidelines for the use of AI in learning and teaching.

    Key Tasks:
    1. Develop and implement a governance framework for AI use at the university.
    2. Address ethical considerations such as data privacy, bias, and intellectual property.
    3. Make recommendations on how to adapt governance and policies as AI technologies evolve.

    Purpose: Monitor and evaluate the impact of AI on learning and teaching and ensure effective communication and awareness across the university.

    Key Tasks:
    1. Set up mechanisms for continuous evaluation of AI's impact on learning outcomes, student engagement, and teaching effectiveness.
    2. Revise and adapt AI policies and guidelines based on evaluation results.
    3. Develop strategies to raise awareness and communicate best practices and innovations related to AI.

    2. Develop AI training programs tailored for graduate students and supervisors.
    3. Create guidelines for the appropriate use of AI in graduate-level research, publications and coursework.
