Educational Videos

Falls are the number one cause of injuries and injury-related deaths in older adults. The rates of falls and injuries are especially high among older adults in long-term care (LTC) and acute care. Falls management in these settings requires strategies for preventing falls and strategies for preventing injury when falls occur. With support from AGE-WELL, the IPML has developed a series of educational videos on fall and injury prevention in LTC. The videos are being used in the Canadian Falls Prevention Curriculum, and in training modules in Fraser Health, British Columbia’s largest health authority.
