Mathematics doctoral student in the Faculty of Science
I'm a PhD. candidate focusing on Enumerative Combinatorics and Algebraic Geometry. During my free time, I like to exercise and do private tutoring.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO SFU?
It's quiet up on the mountain.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?
Instead of going into the details, I would use pictures and simple equations to give a rough intuition.
WHAT ARE YOU PARTICULARLY ENJOYING ABOUT YOUR STUDIES/RESEARCH AT SFU?
I'm studying a subject that been my favorite ever since high school. I enjoy it the the extent where I've taken part in competitions (CNML, Putnam, etc.).
HAVE YOU BEEN THE RECIPIENT OF ANY MAJOR OR DONOR-FUNDED AWARDS? IF SO, PLEASE TELL US WHICH ONES AND A LITTLE ABOUT HOW THE AWARDS HAVE IMPACTED YOUR STUDIES AND/OR RESEARCH.
