Mary offers strategic leadership, management and support within Graduate Studies and across SFU. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing and fostering creativity within program offerings; promoting and ensuring Indigenization, decolonization, equity, diversity and inclusion within regulations, programs and services; advocating for graduate student support; and administering SFU’s Graduate General Regulations. She ensures that graduate students are recognized by SFU when making decisions and setting priorities.
Malcolm primarily works with students and supervisors when there are academic concerns. He works closely with the Academic Graduate Student Support Specialist to organize workshops and other outreach events for students and supervisors. He collaborates with the with our Pro-D and Student Experience Manager, the Ombudsperson and Graduate Students Society Advocate as well as the Center for Accessible Learning.

El works closely with the Awards Manager to provide academic oversight and adjudication of scholarships and awards, scholarship preparation support for students and supervisors and direction around PhD funding minima. They also work closely with the INS Graduate Program Assistant in their role as the Graduate Program Chair of the Individualized Interdisciplinary Studies (INS) Program.
