"It is a fantastic opportunity to learn a lot while working with diverse groups of teammates coming from various professional, cultural, and educational backgrounds while getting adapted to the Canadian work/education ecosystem in digital media and tech-related areas."
Armaghan Khalaj
Digital Media master's student in the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology
Armaghan is a fine art photographer, graphic designer, and artist who had a solo conceptual photography exhibition in 2017.
She also has been engaged with media by working for some magazines for almost four years; while she has the experience of being the head of the photography department in magazines, she holds her bachelor’s degree in Statistics. Now in MDM, she expects to take the skill set she has obtained in her career so far into the digital work ecosystem.
As a student of the CDM and based on the pandemic situation she has passed some semesters online and gained valuable experience about that. She has not only improved her soft skills as a team player, but she has also faced the challenges of working on projects online with teammates from different time zones. Now, step by step, backing to the normal situation she is looking forward to taking more advantage of the in-person working/studying experience.
