I am a visual artist, my main practice is painting, I got my bachelor degree in painting from Tehran University.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO SFU?
I chose this school because of the MFA program, I was interested in this program because it is an interdisciplinary major which allows students to discover their ideas and new creative way to share and illustrate their ideas while focusing on their practices and collaborating with other peers from other disciplines.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?
it is an interdisciplinary program which means I focus on my study and practice but also learn and work along side of other people from other practices and learn new stuff and new ways of making art.
WHAT ARE YOU PARTICULARLY ENJOYING ABOUT YOUR STUDIES/RESEARCH AT SFU?
I'm enjoying the fact that I have so much support from professors I have access to good studios and equipments, and I'm enjoying working with my cohort since they are all talented and Wonderfull people to work and study with.
