Methodology
Slope is another critical variable determining whether slopes are suitable for ski runs or development. Slope parameters were derived from research conducted on a potential ski resort in southern B.C. Ecosign Mountain Resort Planners conducted a report on the feasibility on a ski area on the Coquihalla Highway in November 2004, and presented a table of percentage of slope gradients in correlation with degree of difficulty of ski runs. Suitable slope was assigned a 9% to 46% grade.
