Discussion
There were many challenges experienced in the process of completing this spatial analysis.
- Creating criteria was a little challenging due to the limited data available.
- Converting files into vector format and then into IDRISI raster files was a challenging process. For example, it was challenging to ensure the correct resolution and project units were used.Â
- Several attempts were made in order to correctly process the MCE.
- Only 8 constraints and 2 factors were used for the MCE. A formal spatial analysis would entail more criteria and more comprehensive data collection and manipulation.
- Weighting factors significantly affects the final image making the analysis highly variable. Weighting is relative to the individual’s preference.
