Computing Science Peer Tutoring

Whether you need some extra help during the year or in preparation for exams, our computing science (CS) peers offer free academic help throughout the semester so you can excel in your courses and reach your goals.

Peer academic support is offered virtually and in-person, on a drop-in basis, for many first and second-year courses. Our volunteers are your CS peers, other students who have already taken these classes and who can provide you with valuable tips and support. The last day of tutoring sessions will be the last day of classes.

We offer support for: CMPT 120, CMPT 125, CMPT 225, CMPT 295, CMPT 300, CMPT 307, and MACM 101

Location

  • In-Person: ASB 9820 (inside CSIL lab), Mon-Fri from 10:30 am - 5:20pm
  • Online: Zoom (links in schedule)

Peer Tutoring Schedule

Peer tutoring starts 3rd/4th week each term and ends last day of classes. Refer to schedule for each tutor's sessions, zoom links, location, and availability

Entrance Scholarships

SFU Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarships (Values range from $10,000 up to an amount sufficient to cover tuition and mandatory supplementary fees. Further funding, in the form of a living allowance, may be offered to support exceptionally talented students with demonstrated financial need.)
