2016-2017
Development of new French PhD in Languages, cultures and literacy cohort proposal in collaboration with French colleagues (Drs. Danièle Moore, Cécile Sabatier, Geneviève Brisson and Hélène Lalancette), proposal approved by Graduate Programs in December 2017.

Development of Program Learning Goals for the three French FoE graduate programs (EdD, MEd online, MA/MEd) in consultation with French colleagues (Drs. Marianne Jacquet, Danièle Moore, and Cécile Sabatier)
Preparation of New MEd Cohort Proposal for a French Community program in collaboration with Danielle Arcand, Associate Director of the Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs and in consultation with French colleagues (Drs. Marianne Jacquet, Danièle Moore, and Cécile Sabatier)
Revision and re-development of the Languages, Cultures and Literacies doctoral program (approved by Faculty and Senate in February 2015) in collaboration with Dr. Suzanne Smythe and in consultation with colleagues who teach in the program (Drs. 2008 - 2009
French graduate programs, transformation of off-campus master’s program to synchronous and asynchronous online format. Development of asynchronous courses (EDUC 864 and EDUC 823) as part of a partnership with Le consortium des établissements universitaires de l’Ouest canadien (SFU, le Collège universitaire de Saint-Boniface, l’Institut français de l’Université de Régina, le Campus Saint-Jean de l’Université de l’Alberta) aiming at providing greater course options in French for graduate education students.
2006 – 2007
Participant, planning meetings to determine Simon Fraser University’s contribution to the creation of joint French graduate programs, consortium organized by the Deans of education from western provinces.
2005 – 2006
Member, committee to develop an EdD program in Educational Leadership in French, new initiative of the Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs Education initiatives, program start January 2007.

Member, committee to develop guideline documents for portfolio assessment in the French master’s programs.

Developed a new off-campus master’s cohort program in French, in collaboration with D. Arcand and M. Ling, new initiative of the Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs Education initiatives, program began in September 2004 in Victoria.
2002 – 2006
Team member, Multicultural Perspectives in Higher Education, a 4-year trilatera partnership to help graduate students in North America develop professional skills that include a multicultural framework for teaching educational methodologies, McGill (Canadian lead), Simon Fraser University, the University of British Columbia, University of California LA (US lead), Arizona State University, Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (Mexican lead), and Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos, funded by the governments of Canada, the United States and Mexico, through the Program for North American Mobility in Higher Education, $190,168.
2002 – 2003
Chaired cross-program meetings in the Faculty of Education (Undergraduate Programs, Graduate Programs, Field Programs, Professional Development Program) to develop a proposal for new Faculty of Education program initiatives in French education under the Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs (see Service to SFU).
1996 – 1998
In partnership with the Surrey School District, developed the Languages in Urban Classrooms - Surrey Intermediate Module in the Professional Development Program. A cohort of elementary generalists grouped in Surrey schools for their practicums with a focus on French as a second language instruction.
1996
Developed and taught the first video-conferencing course offered in the Faculty of Education, EDUC 472, Language Arts (L’art du langage) at two sites simultaneously (Burnaby, BC, &, Kamloops, BC). Provided students with Web page support to correspond and engage in online responses to course readings.
Developed and taught EDUC 826 Reading Process (La lecture en langue seconde) as a Web-based course. This class was twinned with an equivalent graduate seminar at l’Université de Montréal. A Web page enabled students in both institutions to collaborate on projects and respond to joint course readings. Instructor evaluations and student responses to this course formed the basis of a publication (Armand, Dagenais, & Ambassa, l996).
