Apply to Graduate Form

Complete the form below to graduate from your program and receive your certificate or diploma parchment. You’ll receive an email confirmation after you submit.

Once we confirm your eligibility, your graduation request will be recommended to the Senate Committee on Continuing Studies. The committee meets twice a year (spring and fall) to grant certificates/diplomas and SFU alumni status. If you require proof of completion before this process occurs, you may Request Your Transcript.

We can accommodate a number of special characters. For example: grave (è), circumflex (â, î or ô), the tilde (ñ), umlaut and dieresis (ü or ï), cedilla (ç), other vowels (Ø), haček (č) and acute (é), and characters for Indigenous names.

Note: Specifying your name on this form will not change your official student record. To change your student record, please email learn@sfu.ca.

If you are an SFU alumnus, or currently or previously enrolled in SFU undergraduate or graduate courses, please enter your student number (the nine-digit number on your SFU ID card).
