Peter Scott is a futurist, coach and technology expert helping people master technological disruption. After receiving a master’s degree in computer science from Cambridge University, he moved to California to work for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), starting in the navigation section, which maneuvers spacecraft to targets a billion miles away. He now contracts to the JPL on enterprise architecture.

Peter raises awareness about artificial intelligence. He has appeared on radio and television, taught university courses and made numerous appearances to diverse audiences in several countries. In February 2020 he spoke before an all-party parliamentary group on the future of AI in Britain’s House of Lords, and delivered a TEDx talk to a thousand people in Surrey, B.C. His third TEDx talk, on why AI might need to have empathy, was released in July 2023.

In July 2022 Peter’s second book was released: Artificial Intelligence and You: What AI Means for Your Life, Your Work, and Your World. His popular podcast (also called Artificial Intelligence and You) has over 160 episodes, and explores three questions every week with an influential guest: What is AI? Why will it affect you? How do you and your business survive and thrive through the AI revolution?

Peter has a parallel career in human development, including certifications in coaching and neuro-linguistic programming. He lives on Vancouver Island with his wife and two daughters.
