Ulrich Paschen
Ulrich Paschen hails from Germany, where he received a master’s degree in business from the University of Potsdam. He also holds an MA in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is currently enrolled in the PhD program for industrial marketing at Luleå University of Technology in Sweden. He lives in Tsawwassen, B.C. and has been a full-time instructor in the business program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University since May 2019 and a part-time instructor at Simon Fraser University since September 2017. Ulrich teaches courses in project management, operations management, organizational behavior and general business management. His published research interests include consumer behavior with a focus on Canada’s iconic Icewine, the use of artificial intelligence in business-to-business marketing, and sustainability issues.
Prior to concentrating on his academic career, Ulrich had a diverse business management career in Germany and Canada, working on such different projects as duty free liquor, the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, outdoor apparel, kid’s toys and door locks.
Ulrich is married and has three daughters. He enjoys several water sports activities and is active in a number of community organizations.
