Judy Phillips

Judy Phillips is a freelance editor with more than 30 years of experience in the publishing industry. After working in-house at Douglas & McIntyre and Self-Counsel Press, she made the leap to freelancing. Since then, she has edited and proofread fiction and non-fiction for trade, scholarly, and educational publishers, as well as for self-publishing authors. She has also edited for magazines and in corporate communications. Among her clients are Appetite by Random House, Phaidon Press, Figure 1 Publishing, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and various local commercial and arts organizations. When she’s not editing, Judy can be found taking classes at the National Ballet of Canada studios, or taste-testing recipes from cookbooks she’s edited.
