Jessie Johnston
Jessie Johnston has been working in magazines and digital media since 2004, including fact-checking and blogging at National Geographic Traveler, ad sales with Clevers Media, and project-managing website development for Agentic Digital Media.
After accumulating these professional hats, she decided to put them all on at once to launch Asparagus Magazine, where she has served as publisher and editrix-in-chief since 2017.
She graduated summa cum laude from Bryn Mawr College with a BA in linguistics, and holds a master of publishing degree from SFU.
When not chasing crazy dreams, Jessie can be found digging in her vegetable garden, marching in a protest, riding her two-wheeled steed or singing soprano in the City Soul Choir.
