Continuing Studies website wins marketing award
The SFU Continuing Studies website has been recognized by the Canadian Association for University Continuing Education (CAUCE) in its 2022 Design and Marketing Awards. The annual awards recognize excellence in the field of design and marketing in university continuing education throughout Canada.
Launched in November 2021, the new Continuing Studies website was a two-year project led by the Lifelong Learning marketing team, supported by SFU IT Services, and driven by extensive research, including student surveys, interviews and user testing from PS DDB.
“The old website was ready to be completely reimagined,” explains Rachel Bennett, director of marketing and communications. “By listening closely to our students and understanding how they use our website, we were able to build a fresh new site that’s not only aligned with SFU branding but also ensures students can find what they need faster.”
In selecting SFU Continuing Studies for the award, CAUCE judges considered all aspects of the website, including content, structure and navigation, visual design, functionality, responsive design across mobile devices, and overall experience.
“We’re so honoured by the recognition from CAUCE,” says Bennett. “It’s a testament to all the careful thought and long hours put into this project.”
