HR management program earns first accreditation of its kind
We’re excited to announce that our Human Resources Management Certificate program has now been accredited with the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources British Columbia & Yukon (CPHR BC & Yukon).
Thanks to an agreement signed this spring between SFU Continuing Studies and CPHR BC & Yukon, graduates of our program may be eligible to waive writing the CPHR National Knowledge Exam® (NKE). This exemption helps move our students one step closer to receiving their Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation, which represents a nationally recognized level of achievement in the human resources field.
“We’re proud that CPHR BC & Yukon has recognized the quality and rigour of our certificate program with this accreditation,” says Raveen Sanghera, associate director of the HR Management program. “We hope our students and alumni will take advantage of the many benefits this partnership brings.”
The new accreditation marks the first time that CPHR BC & Yukon has allowed graduates of a certificate program to potentially qualify for the exam exemption. Many of our past graduates can also benefit, as the exemption has been extended to alumni who graduated from our certificate program in 2016 or later.
