Proud to sponsor Editors Canada Conference

We’re delighted to sponsor the 2019 Editors Canada Conference. Now celebrating its 40th year, the annual conference brings together professionals in the editing field from across the country for three days of learning and networking.

We’ll be well represented by two of our instructors who are speaking at the conference. Instructor Iva Cheung from our Plain Language Certificate program, will co-present a session exploring the question of whether editing can be considered a profession yet.

Wendy Barron, who teaches in both our Editing Certificate and Plain Language Certificate programs, will join a panel of editors to discuss the future of editing. She’ll weigh in on issues such as new technologies and cultural sensitivity.

The conference runs from June 7 to 9 in Halifax.
