Nomination for the Warren Gill Award for Community Impact 2024 is now closed. Thank you for all nominations, winner will be announced early 2025.
Nominate a candidate
To nominate someone for the Warren Gill Award for Community Impact:
- Assemble a complete nomination package, then
- Send the completed package by email to communityimpact-award@sfu.ca before the nomination deadline.
The deadline for the 2024 Call for Nominations is November 29, 2024.
Members of the SFU community (staff, faculty, and students), alumni, and community partners may submit nominations. (Self-nominations are also permitted.)
What is a "complete" nomination package?
Complete nominations packages must include the following items:
- A completed nomination form (fillable, printable PDF)
- A description of the nominee's efforts and involvement in the communities SFU serves, as well as the impact of those activities. The nomination form includes space for such a description. But you may submit a separate letter with such a description, if you wish (maxiumum: two pages).
- Two (2x) signed letters of support from other members of the SFU community (faculty, staff, or students) or community partners.
Can I send my package by regular mail?
Yes you can. Please send it to the address, below, and ensure that it arrives before the nomination deadline.
